Template for ultrasound of the left lower extremity for evaluation of deep venous thrombosis (DVT). Best if made as the default for left lower extremity venous ultrasound.

TECHNIQUE:
Gray-scale evaluation with compression, spectral flow, and color Doppler assessment of the deep venous system of the left leg from groin to knee, and then at the ankle.
FINDINGS:
In the left lower extremity, the common femoral, femoral, popliteal, and posterior tibial veins demonstrate normal compressibility and blood flow.
IMPRESSION:
No evidence of left lower extremity deep venous thrombosis.
